Facebook Inc., which is now called Meta, announced that it is offering a career and a certification program in Augmented Reality. The course is available on the Spark AR company, which is also owned by Mark Zuckerberg.

"We are excited to share a sneak peek of upcoming updates to the AR for Professional Creators curriculum, including the introduction of Facebook 's first Certified Spark AR Creator program, as well as a new AR Professional course that teaches advanced technical tools and concepts," announced Facebook through a statement on its blog.

Who is it for:
The certification program is designed for advanced-level AR creators who are seeking to distinguish their AR skills in the marketplace, either to help boost their careers or to pursue more creator-for-hire opportunities with brands and agencies.

Certification:
To earn certification, you must:
Pass a proctored, virtual exam, offered through Facebook Blueprint
Pass all online practice tests

Course Fee:
The cost of the certification exam will be $150 USD, however, Facebook is providing vouchers to cover the full exam cost for the first 2,000 creators who join the interest list.
